Neelix and Naomi (the two Ns, it’s going to be a thing, make it happen) have adventures in “Once Upon a Time”, and Chakotay and Kim (the two hard Cs) have adventures in “Timeless”.

-Only 10 mins. in so far so maybe you discuss it more, but I think Neelix has a bad reputation because he would be very hard to take if you knew him in real life. That obsequious, forced bonhomie is tiring to deal with. And Phillips does a good enough job transmitting that to the viewer that you can feel the anxiety you’d experience if you were really in the room with Neelix. I love how the show has explained what made him this way, and I think if the audience engaged with Neelix more critically (as Eric says, in the way you’re doing for the show) this becomes clear. But given the pre-DVR, pre-Netflix era in which the show originally ran, it’s not surprising that the main casual audience didn’t do that, and so the reputation solidified. (I think the Lwaxana comparison very apt.)

-This is an excellent point!
