-Sacrifice of Angels in some ways has the easiest job of the DS9 occupation arc–it’s putting the final brick in a painstakingly constructed foundation. That said, it’s just the greatest. On paper, it almost shouldn’t exist. So it’s full of huge plot twists AND sensitive, well-observed character moments AND contains a major space battle–and somehow feels leisurely paced and effortless. Not a bad or wasted scene in the thing, and it knows exactly where the most powerful moments are. Just astonishing.
