-In the movie Brigadoon, Gene Kelly’s protagonist is a very successful man who is unhappy and lonely, so finding this old Scottish village gives him something he was missing, leading to his giving up a life he no longer valued. Dax isn’t in a similar position at all, she seems happy and fulfilled over all. No real motivation there to take the place of what the movie establishes. So the whole thing fails. Just awful.
