-Hurrah! I’ve been listening to your DS9 and Voyager recently (thanks to catching you guys guesting on the TNG Pensky Files and I enjoyed your conversations there so much I had to hear you two. Refreshing to hear a regular LGBT take on Trek) and was hoping in this time of isolation and extra time on all our hands, you guys would analyze the first series of Picard (I was going back and forth and suggesting this on your Twitter feed). I was about to place a reply to the Bashir 7th season Section 31 episode and so came onto this site and here this comes up. So cool. 🙂

Picard didn’t do much for me, but I am glad you enjoyed it Eric. As you talked about in the podcast, I’m one of the people where he’s one of my favorite characters (him and Kira), and he felt pretty “off” to me. To be fair, I had the same problem with the movies. I do agree Riker and Troi were great here though, and their kid. But the overall show just didn’t feel like it was set in the same universe as TNG and DS9 to me. Oh well, the crazy space flowers were cool, and I do love Alison Pill, so I’m sure I’ll watch season 2 anyway.
Hope you guys will record some more one day, maybe Richard could watch the DS9 documentary? Take care!
