Both “Catspaw” and “I, Mudd” feature a variety of professional actors hamming it up, but only in “Catspaw” does the ham actually smell a bit off, probably because of the giant cat. No, seriously: a giant cat. Meanwhile, in “I, Mudd”, the cast of The Original Series engages in improv theater, which results in one of the most fun episodes of the show. Plus! Richard is really interested in learning about Trek slash.

-32:35 I totally understood what Richard meant.
The whole dynamic of a Trekkie trying to be loyal towards the franchise vs newcomer finding their own style of enjoying it is very interesting. You can definitely see Richard coming into his own in that regard over the course of these podcasts so far.
It’s sad that Roger Carmel died so soon because I would have loved to see him again as a live action Mudd in the movies. At least I have that animated series episode to look forward to. These podcasts are supplementing my TOS watchthrough quite well. Thank you both for going through this journey…9 years ago now!

-Wow thanks for the comment! 9 years… who would have thought. I’m really glad people are still finding the show and enjoying it. 🙂
